Kyle Bacon, Senior Advisor
Mr. Bacon is the Chief Information Officer for Cogent Communications, a publicly traded, facilities-based Internet access provider. He has overseen acquisitions of seven companies in North America and Europe during the past three years, including LambdaNet (France & Spain), Aleron, Carrier1, and Verio’s Internet access business. He is also responsible for product introductions at Cogent, and most recently has managed the rollout of both the Native Layer2 Ethernet and Managed Security service offerings in North America.

Based in Washington, D.C., Mr. Bacon has spent his entire career in the Internet and telecom space. Most notably, he founded Fiber Network Solutions, one of the original Internet backbone companies, in 1996. Mr. Bacon was CEO of the company and managed its substantial growth before selling the company to Cogent Communications in 2003. In 2000, he was recognized by Ernst & Young as a Finalist in the "Entrepreneur of the Year."

Peter Lowry, Senior Advisor
Peter C. Lowry is Senior Advisor at Ion Partners based on the West Coast. He has extensive experience advising management teams and working on M&A and corporate finance transactions for technology and telecom companies. His clients have included Siemens, Bass plc, Golden State Bancorp, Telium, Autobytel and Bidcom.

Mr. Lowry has worked for Deutsche Bank in the Integrated Strategies Group and, prior to that, in the Private Wealth Management Group. In these positions, he advised CEOs, CFOs, and other executives on wealth planning related to IPOs, M&A transactions and other major corporate events and provided financial advice to ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families.

Before joining Deutsche Bank, Mr. Lowry worked as an investment banker with UBS and Lehman Brothers on M&A and corporate finance transactions for software, internet and communications equipment companies. Mr. Lowry began his career as a CPA with Price Waterhouse.

Greg Porto, Senior Advisor
Mr. Porto is a Senior Advisor of Ion Partners. He is a Managing Director of Corporate Finance at Stone Carlie in St. Louis, MO. Mr. Porto advises private and public companies in raising capital, mergers and acquisitions, and financial restructurings. As a Managing Director at A.G. Edwards & Sons and as the principal of his own advisory firm, Mr. Porto has provided strategic, operational and financial consulting services to clients such as Bank of America, Baker Hughes, General Electric, Kansas City Southern, Monsanto, United Van Lines, and Citigroup.

Mr. Porto has also been a CFO of a rapidly expanding entertainment company and a managing partner of a branding and public relations agency. He began his career in New York in the investment banking group at Kidder, Peabody & Co., Inc.

Ed Meskill, Senior Advisor
Mr. Meskill is the co-founder of Virtual Marketing Partners, an innovative, rich-media marketing platform and provider of interactive marketing solutions. Previously he was founder and former Publisher of “Mobile Enterprise” magazine, the leading magazine and online site for mobile and wireless industry news and analysis. Mr. Meskill ran the magazine and led it through a period of substantial growth before overseeing the sale of the company to Edgell Communications in 2005.

In almost 15 years in the mobility and trade publishing space, he has launched several successful industry magazines, including leading trade magazines “Wireless for the Corporate User” and “Field Force Automation,” both of which were successful in the then-emerging wireless sector. Ed also pioneered key trade shows in the mobile and wireless space and formed a joint venture with the CTIA Wireless Association to launch the “Mobile Solutions” show guide for the annual CTIA IT & Entertainment trade show.

Mr. Meskill sits on the advisory board of several leading mobile and wireless companies. He is a frequent speaker at leading industry events, and has been an awards presenter for the CDMA America's conference and the WBR Field Service show. In 2006 Mr. Meskill launched the Mobile Enterprise Executive Summit, a leading annual mobile industry summit.

Jan Dehesh, Senior Advisor
Ms. Dehesh is the CEO of Dehesh International, a telecom consulting company. From 1987 to 2004, she served in several executive roles at QUALCOMM Incorporated. Most recently, as a Vice President of Business Development, Ms. Dehesh developed and implemented marketing programs to accelerate the adoption of Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) products and services through strategic partnerships with wireless carriers, device manufacturers, independent software vendors, and Fortune 1000 corporations.

Previously at QUALCOMM, Ms. Dehesh served as Vice President of Information Technology and helped create the company’s worldwide telecommunications and computing infrastructure. Also in this role, Ms. Dehesh forged industry partnerships with computer and telephony leaders including Lucent Technologies, Cisco, Compaq and Sun Microsystems.

Ms. Dehesh is an active member of the San Diego Telecom Council and the American Association of University Women. She currently serves on several boards and advisory committees, including GoAmerica, the Foundation for California Community Colleges and the Wireless Ready Alliance.
